Description
The City is seeking contractors to perform unplanned repairs to storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems at various locations on City-owned or maintained property, including street and alley rights-of-way and utility easements. Work may include sewer repairs and related excavation, backfill, pavement and sidewalk restoration, traffic control, and site restoration. The scope also includes sewer plugging or bypass pumping when needed, with approval by the Engineer. Bidders submit unit prices through the procurement portal for specified labor, equipment, materials, and restoration items. The solicitation requires a bid proposal, bid security, apprenticeship and training certification, and a statement of experience; additional EEO materials are required depending on the bidder’s existing City certification. Experience and past performance are evaluated, and the lowest cost is considered in the cost phase. Insurance and contract bonding requirements apply, with insurance evidence and other award documentation due after award rather than with the proposal.
