Description
Harmony Public Schools is requesting sealed proposals from qualified general contractors to convert an existing auditorium at Harmony Science Academy into a cafetorium. The project relocates two existing serving lines and includes approximately 1,000 square feet of serving-line and kitchen construction, relocation and reinstallation of existing kitchen equipment, demolition, walls, ceilings, flooring, serving windows, tray rails, a handwashing sink station, and associated labor and materials. The construction scope covers general requirements, demolition, concrete, masonry, metals, wood and composites, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, fire suppression, HVAC/mechanical, plumbing, electrical, communications, safety and security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, and mobilization. Proposals must provide schedule-of-values pricing, including bond costs, and required safety, financial, licensing, insurance, bonding-capacity, experience, personnel, and certification documentation. The school will remain occupied during regular hours, so disruptive work must occur after school hours, on weekends, or during school holidays. The base bid retains existing flooring; quarry-tile replacement must be priced as an alternate. Substantial completion is required by March 31, 2027, with liquidated damages of $500 per day for delay.
