Description
San Bernardino City Unified School District is soliciting bids for an as-needed, districtwide contract covering infrastructure equipment, cabling, pathways, network electronics, wireless access points, UPS and power equipment, racks and cabinets, fiber optic systems, raceways, and related materials. The scope includes basic design and engineering, project management, installation, repair, relocation, testing, certification, cabinet redressing, emergency infrastructure restoration, documentation, and ongoing support across approximately 74 schools and 10 administrative non-instructional facilities. The work supports wired and wireless networks, Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7, multigigabit connectivity, fiber backbones, electrical and pathway improvements, and network equipment infrastructure. Bidders must provide specified qualifications and supporting documentation, including manufacturer certifications, an RCDD, technician training and certifications, California C-7 and C-10 licenses, DIR registration, references for at least five similar public-school-district projects completed within the past five years, a contractor qualification statement, and numerous required certifications and forms. Low- and high-voltage work must be performed in-house, and the contractor must act as prime. The initial estimated contract value is $600,000, with a total estimated value not to exceed $3,000,000 including extensions. The initial term is one year, with up to four additional one-year extensions.
