Description
The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University is soliciting sealed bids for Project 351039 to comprehensively modernize the main elevator in Harder Hall. The work includes upgrades to the machine room, governor, door operator, hoistway door equipment, car and hall fixtures, and the car and hoistway cab interior, along with all required materials, equipment, labor, installation, coordination, cleanup, and related construction activities. The contractor must commence promptly after issuance of the Notice to Proceed and achieve substantial completion no later than August 1, 2027. The project is located in an occupied academic building and must be coordinated with campus operations and the academic calendar. Prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll, insurance, installation, and a five-percent bid bond apply. Performance and labor-and-material bonds are required at 100 percent after award. Bidders must provide three similar construction projects completed within the past five years, with owner references and project details.
