Description
MHC 2027: The Next Lap is seeking qualified individuals, firms, consultants, or teams for one or both of two roles: Crew Chief (Project Manager) and Track Manager (Event Consultant). The Crew Chief would coordinate the overall initiative, partner engagement, sponsorship and funding support, timelines, communications, reporting, and post-event documentation. The Track Manager would provide technical event planning and production support, including site logistics, permitting, safety planning, vendor scopes, derby operations, run-of-show development, and onsite event management. The work supports a season-long celebration spanning late 2026 through 2027, including race-weekend activities, community partner events, and a signature mid-summer festival with potential concert, fireworks, manufacturing showcases, workforce engagement, and soapbox or downhill derby components. The anticipated budget is $345,000, and the anticipated engagement is 18 months. Proposals must include organizational information, relevant experience, an approach and work plan, project team information, deliverables and timeline, role-specific pricing, and at least three comparable client references.
