Description
Kern High School District is soliciting a prime contractor for fencing work at the Vista Continuation High School modernization project. The scope includes chain-link fences and gates, decorative metal fences and gates, and chain-link baseball backstops. The project requires a C-13 license and prequalification of the prime contractor; applicable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors must also be prequalified. Prospective bidders must submit the Owner's prequalification questionnaire and financial statement through Quality Bidders no later than 10 business days before bid opening and must be announced as prequalified no later than five business days before bid opening. The estimated bid value is $1,071,432.38, with a 490-calendar-day duration. A 10 percent bid bond and 100 percent payment and performance bonds are required. Bid documents and addenda are available electronically, with printed documents available from Blueprint Services Company if needed. The solicitation uses paper submission and includes the District's bid forms, declarations, DVBE participation materials, and bid security requirements.
