Description
Bucks County is soliciting a contractor to remove existing doors and hardware, prepare openings, and supply and install replacement doors at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Facility. The primary scope includes fourteen pairs of 90-minute fire-rated double-egress hollow metal doors and twelve pairs of 90-minute fire-rated standard hollow metal doors, including continuous hinges, vision kits and fire-rated glass, door closers, exit devices, armor plates, and related hardware. Existing undamaged frames are to remain, and the contractor must verify jamb openings before work begins. The scope also includes replacement of the outer ambulance entrance doors, including removal of existing concrete-filled frames, doors, hardware, and automation; installation of a new welded masonry frame and hollow metal door pair; and installation of continuous hinges, pulls, armor plates, threshold, sweeps, astragal, push arms, and safety sensors. Deliveries must be phased to match the installation schedule, work is to occur Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the contractor must comply with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, background-check requirements for on-site personnel, and specified bonding and insurance requirements. The contract provides for a 365-calendar-day completion period and liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for late completion.
