Description
The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority is soliciting proposals from qualified commercial landscape maintenance firms to provide a five-year program of bi-weekly maintenance at its headquarters. The base package includes turf and planting-bed care, edging and trimming, hardscape cleanup, irrigation-system checks and minor adjustments, semiannual tree and shrub pruning, fertilization, weed and pest control, debris removal, and chemical-application records. The contractor must provide all labor, transportation, supervision, tools, parts, and equipment, and must directly perform the base package without subcontracting. The scope also includes separately estimated and Authority-approved ad hoc irrigation repairs and upgrades, additional tree and shrub pruning, planting, lawn reseeding or sodding, and weed-block or mulch installation. Proposals must include pricing, proposed-service and experience descriptions, at least three similar client references, agreement to the sample contract and insurance requirements, and proof of Department of Industrial Relations registration. California prevailing-wage and public-works compliance requirements apply.
