Description
This invitation to bid covers construction of approximately 890 linear feet of 1.25-inch sewer force main, one grinder pump station, approximately 380 linear feet each of 6-inch and 2-inch water mains, a wet tap into an existing 12-inch water main, one hydrant assembly, 300 square feet of repaving, and 945 linear feet of perforated underdrain. The work also includes well reclassification, abandonment of the existing on-site wastewater system, and superchlorination to provide potable water, along with associated utility, excavation, paving, erosion-control, testing, and restoration activities. The project includes allowances of $30,000 for unforeseen conditions, $200,000 for permit and impact fees, and $10,000 for electrical work, plus an alternate for directional drilling. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting and submit the completed bid form, subcontractor list, non-collusion statement, employee drug-testing affidavit, contractor-qualifications affidavit, bid security, and a copy of the contractor’s Delaware business license. The bid security is 10% of the bid price, allowances, and alternates. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount and insurance certificates are required upon contract execution, not with the bid.
