Description
The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities is seeking proposals for the supply, transportation, and delivery of hydrated lime reagent for the air-quality-control systems at its Nearman Creek Power Station. The contractor must provide compliant hydrated lime, closed pneumatic delivery trucks with powered unloading blowers, hoses, connectors, fittings, chalk blocks, required personal protective equipment, testing, safety documentation, and certificates of analysis. Deliveries will be made in bulk truckloads of approximately 40,000 pounds, on an as-needed basis, generally within 48 hours of a delivery request. The reagent must meet the specified physical and chemical properties and be certified to ASTM C911-06. The estimated usage is approximately 2,000 to 3,500 tons per year, with no guaranteed quantity or delivery frequency. Proposals must demonstrate comparable experience and include at least three references from the past five years, pricing and delivery schedules, subcontractor information, safety documentation, a completed contractor data sheet, a sample certificate of insurance, and the required proposal forms. Multiple contracts may be awarded. Pricing is firm for three years from the agreement date, with possible additional annual extensions.
