Description
The project includes modifications to a 1.5-million-gallon ground-storage potable water reservoir, including sealing or closing existing vents, drains, and access openings; installing a new roof access manway and pressure-pallet-style vent; and replacing specified gaskets. The base bid also includes spot repairs to exterior coatings at modified areas. Bid alternates cover additional interior wet- and dry-area coating repairs, including expanded roof and support-structure work, and abrasive blasting and recoating of interior surfaces. The work includes welding and steel plate modifications, surface preparation and coating application, waste testing and disposal, reservoir cleaning and disinfection, and site restoration. Bidders must submit the proposal section, applicable signed addenda, and an electronic bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount. The proposal includes a statement of qualifications and anticipated subcontractors and equipment forms; a financial statement or qualifying prequalification evidence is also specified. A minimum of five similar reservoir project references may be requested to assess bidder responsibility.
