Description
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute seeks comprehensive germline genetic testing using validated next-generation sequencing methodologies for patient specimens collected under active clinical research protocols. Testing must address inherited variants associated with bone marrow failure syndromes, aplastic anemia, myeloid neoplasms, clonal hematopoiesis, and related hematologic disorders. The contractor must provide a clinically validated panel covering approximately 111 genes, including specified untranslated regions and relevant coding and flanking intronic sequences; paired-end Illumina or equivalent sequencing; validated bioinformatics analysis; supplemental Sanger or equivalent orthogonal confirmation; clinical reports identifying significant variants; specimen collection and shipping materials; specimen accessioning, processing, analysis, quality assurance, secure electronic report access, and technical consultation. The work is identified as a sole-source requirement for The University of Chicago Medical Center, whose laboratory provides the established panel and longitudinal analytical continuity required by the clinical program. The stated structure is a one-year base period with four one-year option periods.
