Description
The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is soliciting proposals from licensed and qualified general contractors for on-call maintenance, emergency repair, and minor construction services. Anticipated work includes millwright services; welding; electrical repairs; fire sprinkler system maintenance; framing, drywall, and concrete work; conveyor, hopper, and heavy-equipment maintenance; and plumbing and piping installation and repair. Contractors may propose only for the categories in which they are qualified and must identify their applicable licenses, certifications, experience, personnel, and equipment. The contract will support emergency or force-account work, routine task orders, and special services such as fabrication and machining. Exhibit A establishes markups of 33% for labor, 15% for materials and equipment, and 5% for subcontractor work, with California prevailing wage rates applying to labor. Engineering and related services are reimbursable at actual cost plus 15%; special services are based on market price plus 15%. Contractors must provide an equipment list for emergency work, and equipment costs are generally governed by California Department of Transportation labor surcharge and equipment rental rates, subject to stated exceptions.
