Description
The University of Puerto Rico is soliciting construction services for a technically complex roof renovation at its eight-story, 159,755-square-foot Molecular Sciences Research Center. The work includes installing a new waterproofing system over the existing roof, replacing insulation on exterior air-conditioning and exhaust ducts, completely replacing the lightning protection system, and performing related supplemental work in the rooftop and mechanical areas. The mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit are required for participation. The project is funded through FEMA and CDBG-DR funds and is subject to federal labor requirements, including Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage requirements. A bid bond equal to 5% of the offer is required.
