Description
The University of Alabama is seeking a commissioning firm or team to develop and execute a commissioning program for a new 75,000-square-foot student recreation facility. The project will be delivered in two phases: demolition of the existing Barnwell Hall building and construction of the new recreation center, which will include fitness, wellness, recovery, functional-training, and flexible program spaces. The selected firm must demonstrate relevant commissioning experience, including work with universities and state agencies, similar projects completed within the last 10 years, diagnostic methods for identifying causes of functional discrepancies, examples of resolving difficult technical issues, and proposed innovations that add value. Submissions will be evaluated on qualifications, past representative projects, diagnostic ability, and project innovation, followed by oral interviews for top-ranked firms. The selected firm must meet insurance requirements and submit a Vendor Disclosure Statement upon entering into an agreement.
