Description
The City of Tuscaloosa is soliciting bids from properly licensed general contractors for facility-wide Phase III improvements at the Hilliard N. Fletcher Water Resource Recovery Facility. The work includes rehabilitation of the septage receiving station and existing offloading areas; installation of a new packaged septage receiving station; rehabilitation of the blower building, including ventilation and miscellaneous building improvements; replacement of existing blowers and electrical equipment with new blowers, piping, and electrical equipment; and construction of a new ultraviolet disinfection facility. Mandatory contractor prequalification is required before bidding, and only general contractors that successfully complete prequalification and meet Alabama licensing requirements may submit bids. A mandatory pre-bid conference is also required. Sealed bids will be opened on December 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time, with electronic bids accepted through Central Bidding.
