Description
The State University of New York at Oneonta is seeking qualifications from design firms or teams for the design and construction administration of an approximately 3,200-square-foot metal building. The scope includes site design and surveying, foundation and structural design, MEP design, schematic design with an estimate, construction drawings, pre-bid submissions, construction cost estimating, project bid assistance, and contract administration. The building will be a heated and insulated finished shell with basic MEP components, including a toilet room, and will accommodate a future interior fit-out. The qualifications package must include a cover page, cover letter, design team qualifications and experience, personnel qualifications and experience, project approach and capability, and previous similar project experience. The solicitation also requires specified New York State consultant documentation and participation documentation, including subconsultant staffing information, MWBE and SDVOB materials, EEO materials, and required bidder certifications. No cost proposal is requested with the qualifications submission; fees will be negotiated with the most qualified consultant. The stated construction budget is $300,000, with anticipated design award in late 2026, construction award in summer 2027, and construction completion in spring 2028.
