Description
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Idaho Operations Office (ID), intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract modification to Montech, Inc. for Personnel Security Support Services at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). This modification will extend the period of performance for an estimated six (6) months, from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The services are critical to the DOE's national security mission and include adjudication of security clearances, processing clearance packages, personal identity verification (PIV), management of sensitive records, and utilization of classified government security databases. A key requirement is that all contractor personnel must possess an active DOE "Q" security clearance. Montech, Inc. is the incumbent contractor and its personnel meet this requirement, ensuring continuity of services. The DOE has determined that no other source can satisfy the agency's requirement for this bridge contract without causing unacceptable delays and potential mission failure, as the timeline to obtain a DOE "Q" clearance typically exceeds 12 months. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties who believe they can meet the full scope of the requirement, including possessing a workforce with the requisite active DOE "Q" clearances, may submit a capability statement by July 3, 2026.
