Description
The Idaho National Laboratory (INL), operated by Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC, is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified vendors for the design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of four critical safety-related tilting-disc style, 20-inch, 300-lb check valves for the Advanced Test Reactor (ATR). These valves are essential components on the discharge side of high-capacity pumps and are crucial for the safe operation of the ATR. The existing valves are aging, experiencing increased failure rates, and lack available spare parts, necessitating their full replacement. The new valves must adhere to stringent design, operational, environmental, and safety requirements as detailed in INL Specification SPC-71414 (Rev. 0) and INL Drawing 449559. Key requirements for the valves include construction from ASTM A182 F304 or ASTM A351 CF8 stainless steel, compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III, Division 1, Class 1, an integrated hydraulic dashpot/dampening mechanism for specified closure timing, and a position indicator assembly. Vendors must also demonstrate capabilities in material compatibility with the specified chemistry and radiation environment, and provide comprehensive documentation, including certificates of conformance. Testing requirements include hydrostatic pressure testing, nondestructive examination, and full operational testing.
