Description
The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Division of Soil Conservation and Water Quality, is soliciting bids for construction of the Cla953734C traditional breakpoint nutrient reduction wetland. The work includes site preparation and clearing; approximately 15,204 cubic yards of excavation and earthwork; 2,523 square feet of steel sheet piling; drainage-tile investigation, removal, abandonment, and installation; 540 linear feet of perforated HDPE pipe; 957 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe; water-control, outlet-riser, and stoplog-storage structures; 303 tons of Class E riprap; 46 cubic yards of concrete grout; topsoil work; and approximately 15.2 acres of structure and buffer seeding. The estimated construction cost is $450,000 to $550,000. All construction other than seeding must be completed by November 15, 2027; buffer and structure seeding must be completed by December 15, 2027, within the applicable seeding periods. Bids must be submitted through IMPACS using the required bid forms, bid security, and bid-item entries. The successful bidder must provide a performance/payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price and required insurance.
