Description
The U.S. Geological Survey's Earth Resources Observation and Science Center requires construction services to remove and replace chilled-water and condenser-water piping serving the 1996 building addition. The work includes new condenser-water and chilled-water piping networks, pump and variable-frequency-drive coordination, two-way chilled-water valves, flow-control strategies supporting two existing York chillers at approximately 600 tons, and provisions for future pond heat-rejection connections. The scope also includes replacement of heating-water branches to air-handling units, removal of pneumatic controls, installation of modern electric actuators and updated control sequences, phased construction that keeps offices and computer rooms operational, demolition and restoration, testing and balancing, commissioning, closeout documentation, and required construction safety, wage, security, and facility-access compliance. The solicitation uses lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation and requires technical approach information, past-performance documentation, pricing, a bid guarantee, and a completed SF 1442 and Bid Schedule. Amendment 0001 corrects the site-visit date to October 6, 2026; all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
