Description
The City of Sioux Falls is soliciting formal bids to remove existing litter fence netting and replace the netting system at the Sioux Falls Regional Landfill. The work includes approximately 3,320 linear feet of netting at an approximate height of 31 feet, including a four-foot angled section, along with ropes, twine, hardware, spring-loaded snaps, and associated wind-control components. Existing poles and framing cables will be reused unless damaged. Materials must match or be equivalent in performance and durability to the existing system, and material specifications require Project Manager approval before ordering. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, lifts, ladders, scaffolding, platforms, safety equipment, cleanup, disposal, permits, inspections, and restoration required to complete the work. The project is estimated at $215,000 and funded through CIP No. 21003. The contractor must complete the project within 30 working days and by April 30, 2027, with work generally performed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A bid security is required for bids of $100,000 or more: either a 10% bid bond or a 5% certified check, cashier's check, or bank draft. Performance and payment bonds are required for construction contracts totaling $100,000 or more. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability coverage.
