Description
The City of Montgomery is soliciting sealed bids for the furnishing of labor, materials, services, and equipment required to construct drilled pier foundations, provide pedestrian and vehicular wayfinding signs, and complete all related site improvements necessary to install 36 wayfinding signs throughout Downtown Montgomery. Work must comply with the 2026 Alabama Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer. The estimated cost range is $400,000 to $500,000. Bidders must submit an E-Verify Affidavit and associated Memorandum of Understanding, acknowledge review of the City's disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned business enterprise participation goal, provide evidence of an Alabama general contractor license for work of $100,000 or more, and include either a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the City's estimated cost or bid, capped at $50,000. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, as well as the specified insurance coverage.
