Description
Alabama State University is soliciting sealed bids from qualified general contractors for Phase II interior fit-out of an approximately 8,000-square-foot existing space for a new mechanical engineering laboratory. The scope includes selective demolition, new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, new floor and wall finishes, and limited exterior façade work. The project must be completed within 275 calendar days. Bidders must submit proposals on the architect's furnished proposal forms or copies, provide at least two laboratory-construction project references with points of contact, and include an E-Verify affidavit and associated memorandum of understanding. A bid bond or cashier's check of at least 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000, is required. The successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance, and applicable Alabama contractor licensing, fire-alarm, tax-exemption, and sales-tax accounting requirements apply.
