Description
The City of Montgomery is soliciting sealed proposals from general contractors for construction of an approximately 6,100-square-foot Montgomery Wellness Center at the former Patterson School site. The facility will serve as a primary health facility for city employees and will include patient waiting space, care rooms, back-of-house staff areas, a pharmacy, and a drive-through. Construction is expected to include wood framing, structural steel, and a TPO roof, with two vehicular access points from East Jefferson Street. The project must be substantially completed within 365 days after the Notice to Proceed. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Montgomery, equal to at least 5% of the bid amount and capped at $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Bidders must also submit a copy of their general contractor's license, display their current license number on the sealed envelope, and meet the stated licensing and certification requirements. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for October 15, 2026. Bid documents may be requested by email from the architect, and additional submission requirements are contained in the project manual.
