Description
The City of Meridian is soliciting bids for public works construction to upgrade the Oaks Lift Station. The scope includes furnishing and installing three submersible chopper pumps and associated appurtenances, valves, piping, level-measuring equipment, pump controls, electrical equipment, and related mechanical and electrical modifications. The work also includes demolition and removal of existing equipment, hydrophilic polyurethane foam injection, site grading, restoration, testing, commissioning, and required submittals. The lift station must remain operational throughout construction. The contractor must provide and operate temporary bypass pumping, piping, power, controls, alarms, standby equipment, spill prevention, and related safety measures. Bids must include a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid price, a public works contractor license number, subcontractor information or applicable contractor license numbers, and the completed bid table and contract acknowledgment. Payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract price are required after award. Substantial completion is required within 220 calendar days of the notice to proceed, with final completion within 250 calendar days.
