Description
The National Park Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contractor for the replacement of approximately 20,000 square feet of dilapidated docks at Seven Bays Marina. Work includes new polyethylene modular and steel-framed floats, gangways, gravity anchors and dynamic mooring systems, replacement of the wave attenuator, dock electrical, water, sewer and fuel utilities, refurbishment of the septic lift station, removal of two underground fuel tanks, installation of two above-ground 6,000-gallon fuel tanks, fuel delivery piping, and an on-dock dispensing system. The project also includes demolition and reconstruction of parking areas, roadways, boat-ramp and turnaround improvements, stormwater work, grading, retaining walls, accessible pedestrian routes, ramps, handrails and parking, with optional work for additional docks, parking areas, a vault toilet and holding tank. The contract has a 548-calendar-day performance period, is a firm-fixed-price best-value tradeoff procurement, and has a construction magnitude over $10 million. Proposals must address technical approach, construction schedule, project experience, key personnel experience, past performance, pricing, bid guarantee, references and subcontracting limitations.
