Description
The Municipality of Princeton's Department of Public Works is hiring a full-time Maintenance I employee to maintain public buildings and grounds, paved roads, sidewalks, shared-use paths, bikeways, rights-of-way improvements, and stormwater infrastructure. Duties include operating light equipment; performing winter maintenance, pothole and pavement repairs, roadway, curb, and sidewalk repairs; installing and maintaining signs and pavement markings; cutting vegetation; collecting leaves, branches, logs, trash, and debris; and cleaning inlets, catch basins, maintenance holes, stormwater pipes, and related structures. The position also includes basic vehicle and truck inspections, cleaning and maintenance, light carpentry and building maintenance, traffic direction, emergency and special-event support, and on-call work as needed. The stated salary range is $45,078 to $60,315. Minimum qualifications include five to seven years of relevant professional experience, an employer-paid physical examination, drug screening and criminal background check, New Jersey residency, and proof of United States citizenship or immigration status upon hire.
