Description
Saratoga County Sewer District is soliciting a single-prime contractor for construction of the Milton Pump Station Force Main Tap. The base bid includes mobilization and demobilization; installation of a new tapping sleeve and gate valve on an existing 27-inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe force main; concrete encasement; associated ductile iron piping, fittings, and valve box; excavation, excavation protection, temporary backfill, dewatering, testing, and coordination with the operational pump station. The tapping sleeve and valve assembly must be hydrostatically tested before the force main is tapped, with zero allowable leakage, and the pipe coupon must be safely extracted and stored for condition assessment. Additional bid items include inspection assistance involving excavation and temporary removal and reinstallation of a 20-inch mechanical-joint cap, plus final restoration including grading, topsoil, seeding, and asphalt pavement. The work must maintain pump station access and operations; the Owner may temporarily cease septage acceptance for a maximum of five consecutive days for the principal tap work. The contract is lump sum with a unit-price item for select granular fill, and New York prevailing-wage, certified-payroll, insurance, bid-security, performance-bond, and payment-bond requirements apply.
