NOTICE TO BIDDERS Saratoga County Department of Central Services, 50 West High Street, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 will re- ceive sealed proposals until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026 for Pharmacy Ser- vices at the Saratoga County Correctional Facility, as per specification 26-RFP-SDJPS-1. Description
Saratoga County is requesting proposals from a qualified pharmacy provider to deliver all aspects of pharmacy services for its correctional facility, which houses up to 225 incarcerated individuals and has an average population of approximately 209. The scope includes New York-licensed pharmacy services; prescription, over-the-counter, house-stock, controlled, psychotropic, medication-assisted treatment, and specialty medications; unit-dose and blister-card packaging; electronic medication profiles; medication interaction, allergy, and duplicate-therapy reviews; medication returns and credits; pharmacist consultation; formulary support; and drug-utilization and cost-containment services. The provider must support delivery seven days per week, approximately twice daily, with 24/7 emergency and STAT medication availability, weekend and holiday coverage, a local backup pharmacy or contingency plan, and recall, shortage, and backorder notifications. Required technology capabilities include electronic ordering, support for CorEMR integration, eMAR and medication reconciliation capabilities, medication carts and related equipment, emergency medication boxes, and staff training. Proposals must address reporting, billing, pricing methodology, transition planning, quality assurance, pharmacist inspections, staff education, regulatory compliance, and references from comparable correctional or institutional facilities. The initial contract term is two years, with three one-year extensions available by written agreement.
