Description
The City of Abilene is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation or reconstruction of the single-family residence at 5358 Congress Avenue. The work may include demolition, foundation and framing, roofing and sheetrock, rehabilitation of building systems, lead-based paint abatement when applicable, and completion of required repairs and improvements in accordance with the project specifications, plans, City codes, International Residential Code requirements, and applicable HOME program standards. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, insurance, bonding, and related services. Scope requirements include residential construction and demolition, utilities and site work, fencing, flooring, painting, cabinets, countertops, appliances, insulation, shingles, HVAC, and other specified improvements. Bidders must use the provided bid forms, submit a Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications and Contractor Application, and satisfy Neighborhood Services contractor approval, registration, licensing, bonding, insurance, and subcontractor-information requirements. The mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site.
