Description
The California Department of Parks and Recreation is soliciting a prime contractor to reroof the Brannan Island State Recreation Area residence, detached garage, and maintenance building. The work includes removal and disposal of existing roofing; replacement of deteriorated or missing plywood sheathing; installation of asphalt-shingle roofing assemblies on the residence and garage; installation of corrugated metal roofing on the garage shed roof; and installation of a TPO membrane roofing system on the maintenance building. The scope also includes wood fascia and trim repairs or replacement, sheet-metal flashing and trim, gutters and downspouts, roof jacks and penetrations, sealants, painting, cleanup, construction waste diversion, and related temporary facilities and controls. The project requires a California C-39 Roofing Contractor license, a mandatory pre-bid job showing, a 10% bid bond, payment and performance bonds at 100% of the contract sum, prevailing-wage compliance, a 6% DVBE participation goal, and a 365-calendar-day contract term, with the bid form stating that the work is to be completed within 90 calendar days after written notice to commence work.
