Description
The City of Somerville is soliciting bids for interior renovations to improve spaces for police department use at its 77 Broadway substation. The scope includes interior walls, electrical systems, fire alarm systems, finishes, doors, painting, emergency lighting, and a panic-button connection; the addendum clarifies that future-phase intercom work, IT-closet relocation and routing, certain riser conduits, and entrance-door hardware upgrades are excluded from the Phase 1 scope. Work must be performed during normal working hours and in accordance with the project drawings, specifications, Massachusetts prevailing-wage requirements, and applicable City ordinances. The estimated construction cost is $129,000. The contract is expected to commence on or about November 6, 2026, with substantial completion by March 1, 2027, and final completion by March 31, 2027. Bidders must submit the listed bid forms and supporting materials, including a signed cover letter, general bid form, quality requirements form, non-collusion and tax compliance certification, signature authority certificate, references, 5% bid deposit, wage compliance and OSHA forms, applicable ordinance acknowledgments, addenda acknowledgment, and signed W-9.
