Description
The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is accepting continuous applications from van leasing companies seeking authorization to provide vanpool rideshare services and participate in its Vanpool Start-Up Subsidy Program. Vendors must provide or arrange vehicles, maintenance, insurance, customer service, billing, and related administrative functions, and support vanpool formation through marketing and ride-matching. Authorized vendors contract directly with SACOG; the agency provides subsidies to eligible vanpools rather than leasing or operating vehicles itself. For fiscal year 2027, qualifying newly formed vanpools may receive $300 per month for up to nine months, subject to program eligibility and available funding. The aggregate program funding cap for that fiscal year is $18,000; future-year funding is undetermined. Applicants must submit vendor information, proof of California business registration in good standing, proof of required insurance, service-area information, signed debarment and Levine Act/Government Code 1090 forms, and a County of Sacramento Payee Data Record. An Affirmative Action Program is required only when applicable under the cited federal regulations. The application is submitted through SACOG's procurement portal.
