The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks intends to acquire a one-of-a-kind permanent suspended leaf-canopy art installation for the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science lobby. The proposed Sky Leaf custom sculptural canopy consists of sixteen custom leaves fabricated from heat-textured Lexan/polycarbonate sheet, with automotive candy paint, metallic detailing, outlining, and leaf veining. The scope includes custom design and fabrication, packing and shipping from Las Vegas to Jackson, and rigging and installation by a four-person SRS Fabrication team. The estimated amount is $69,200, comprising $51,200 for the sixteen custom leaves and $18,000 for the installation team. The agency identifies SRS Fabrication Inc. as the sole creator and fabricator of the specific original artwork and intends to negotiate final terms directly with that vendor.
