Description
The City of Mill Valley is soliciting sealed bids for construction at approximately 172 Oakdale Avenue. The work includes mobilization, traffic control, water pollution control, excavation and shoring, construction of a top-down soldier pile and concrete lagging retaining wall, erosion control, Class 2 aggregate base, hot mix asphalt paving, and related cleanup. The project also includes installing approximately 174 linear feet of 8-inch HDPE sewer by open cut, reconnecting sewer laterals, removing an existing manhole, abandoning approximately 179 linear feet of existing sewer and filling it with grout, and connecting to existing manholes and rebuilding their channels. The engineer's estimate for the base bid is $500,775, and the work must be completed within 35 working days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. A valid California Class A contractor's license is required at contract award.
