Description
The Town of Pineville is soliciting separate sealed bids for Contract No. 3, consisting of water treatment plant upgrades, and Contract No. 4, consisting of new radio-read meters for all existing customers, installation of three master meters for water accountability, and related appurtenances. The broader existing-water-system renovation scope includes a new trailer and mini excavator, repair or replacement of approximately 25 fire hydrants, and replacement of an existing six-inch water line with a new ten-inch line from downtown Pineville toward the booster station site on West Virginia Route 97. Contract No. 3 is funded by the United States Economic Development Administration and the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council. Contract 4 requires attendance at the pre-bid conference; attendance is nonmandatory but highly encouraged for Contract 3. Bids must include bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders, and the work is subject to federal labor, civil-rights, immigration, and contracting requirements, including Davis-Bacon and related acts.
