Description
The U.S. Army is seeking a contractor to provide ion nitride coating services for M284 BRUK P2 yokes and hammers used in production at Watervliet Arsenal. The requirement covers approximately 275 yokes and 275 hammers, organized into approximately 10 lots of 25–30 pieces, with three test assets per lot. Processing must comply with SAE AMS 2759/8 and the associated technical drawings. Requirements include maintaining core hardness of 36–42 HRC, achieving the specified surface hardness and case depth for the yokes, performing incoming-material confirmation and destructive batch testing, returning test pieces for government verification, and providing test results with the certificate package. The contractor must price lot charges, additional-piece pricing, shipping, and turnaround time; the stated delivery schedule is 21 calendar days after receipt of shipment. The acquisition is a firm-fixed-price, total small-business set-aside and is subject to Service Contract Labor Standards.
