Description
The City of Coralville is soliciting proposals for the demolition and removal of structures and driveways located at 409 5th Street, 612 & 612 1/2 4th Avenue, and 717 & 719 5th Avenue. Additionally, the scope of work includes the removal of trees at the 4th Avenue property. The contractor will also be responsible for site restoration, including adding topsoil, compost, grass seeding, and hydromulching to prevent erosion. Any damage to drive approaches and sidewalks adjacent to the properties must be repaired or reconstructed. Utility disconnections for electricity, natural gas, cable television, internet, water, and sanitary sewer services are also the responsibility of the contractor, requiring coordination with private utility companies and approval from City officials. All debris and personal property removed from the sites will become the property of the contractor, who is solely responsible for its hauling and disposal in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor must ensure all equipment and vehicles meet federal, state, and local regulations, including USDOT and Iowa DOT standards, and that all loads are properly secured and transported safely. The contractor is responsible for all damages to public and private property and must maintain work sites to appropriate standards. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, with the City reserving the right to reject any or all bids.
