Trout Unlimited is soliciting proposals for the South Fork Running Creek Barrier Replacement project. The project involves replacing an existing 8.6-foot corrugated steel pipe culvert, which is a complete fish barrier, with a 44'6" spanning steel bridge on USFS Road 357. The work includes removing the existing culvert, constructing the new bridge, installing five rock weirs and one channel barb, and improving three horseshoe bend corners on the access road. The project aims to restore fish passage for bull trout and Snake River summer steelhead and to allow large logs to pass through the stream. The contractor must comply with environmental controls, including a de/re-watering and erosion control plan, and perform in-water work within the designated window from July 15 to August 15, 2027. The project is located in a remote area near Elk City, Idaho, and requires a mandatory pre-bid site visit.
