Snyder High School is submitting a renewal application for its P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) program. The program serves grades 9-12 with a school-within-school model, offering multiple career clusters including Agriculture, Business, Marketing, Finance, Education and Training, Energy, Health Science, Information Technology, Law & Public Service, Manufacturing, STEM, and Transportation. Specific programs of study include Drone (Unmanned Flight), Plant Science, Entrepreneurship, Teaching and Training, Oil and Gas Exploration and Production, Healthcare Therapeutic, Networking Systems, Law Enforcement, Welding, Programming and Software Development, and Automotive. Students can earn associate degrees (Teacher Education, Business), Level 1 certificates (Welding, Law Enforcement, Medical Assistant, Automotive Technology, Child Development, Administrative), and industry certifications such as OSHA 30, Floral Skills, Educational Aide I, Patient Care Technician, ASE certifications, AWS welding, FAA Part 107 drone pilot, Phlebotomy Technician, and Child Development Associate. The program partners with Western Texas College and South Plains College for dual credit, and with business partners including Development Corporation of Snyder and Blake Fulenwider Dodge/Jeep. Work-based learning activities include field trips, industry guest speakers, job shadowing, internships, and college courses. The program also includes recruitment events, priority scheduling, individualized graduation plans, tutorials, and wrap-around services.
