Description
This solicitation is for comprehensive electrical maintenance and testing services at the Groveland Correctional Facility. The scope of work includes servicing and testing of medium voltage switchgear, automatic transfer switches, vacuum circuit breakers, battery systems, motor control centers, oil-filled transformers, dry-type transformers, low voltage air switches, and protective relays. Additionally, the contract requires partial discharge testing of medium voltage primary cables, terminations, and splices. The contractor will also provide two specialized training sessions: Arc Flash Safety Awareness Training and Portable Generator Connection Training. The services are critical for maintaining the facility's power infrastructure, which includes two 13.2kV utility electrical services, backup generators, and various switchgear components. The contractor will be responsible for cleaning, inspection, adjustment, lubrication, minor repairs, and electrical testing of all specified equipment. Detailed reporting of all test results in a formal bound report is required for each service. The partial discharge testing must be completed before switchgear testing to allow for any necessary de-energized repairs. The facility will provide generators and transformers for training purposes and will assist with removing and replacing welded manhole covers. Pumping water from manholes, if necessary, will be the contractor's responsibility. Prevailing wage rates must be used for all work.
