Description
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks seeks a qualified consultant to prepare an ethnohistorical overview of Judith Landing State Park and the broader Judith Landing Historic District. The work will establish a research- and consultation-informed foundation for long-term stewardship, interpretation, planning, and future project development. Required research includes Indigenous histories and perspectives, treaty history, traditional land uses, cultural connections to plants and animals, place names, archaeological and archival sources, and historical events associated with the area. The consultant must conduct outreach and consultation with tribes and cultural representatives, including a minimum of nine and maximum of eighteen interviews. Deliverables include a source bibliography, interview questions and potential interviewee list, consultation summary, signed consent and release documentation, digital interview audio files, a draft overview in editable Word format, and a final report in PDF format with two printed and bound copies and supporting materials. The proposal must include at least three references, key-personnel qualifications, relevant project examples, a writing sample, a work plan and timetable, project-management approach, and a detailed cost proposal not exceeding $70,000. The solicitation also requires disclosure and documentation of any artificial-intelligence use in proposal deliverables and project work.
