Description
Los Alamos County's Department of Public Utilities, Electric Production, is conducting a Request for Information for software that will digitize data logging and operator rounds/walkdowns at the El Vado and Abiquiu hydroelectric power plants. The system must support three operator/users, daily walkdowns while each plant is operating, configurable forms and checklists, historical trending, search, data export, and creation, modification, and viewing of work orders. Each plant has more than 200 checklist points, with Abiquiu having approximately 400. Offline data entry is required for monitored locations without service, with later synchronization; the County currently uses Dell Windows tablets. The County plans to deploy Ignition within approximately two years, and proposed software must interface with Ignition rather than directly with the PLCs. Respondents may propose cloud, on-premises, hybrid, or custom-developed solutions. Cloud solutions must support readable data export and comply with applicable County and FERC security requirements; commercial U.S. cloud regions are acceptable, while government cloud or FedRAMP authorization is required only when LANL-related critical infrastructure data is stored. Responses should address configurable workflows, predictive preventive maintenance, possible AI agents, migration of historical data as an optional cost, implementation, maintenance, support, subscriptions, updates, and other related costs.
