Description
The School Town of Munster is soliciting a single lump-sum contract to refurbish diving equipment and movable bulkheads at its high school natatorium. Work includes removing, sandblasting, recoating, and reinstalling four one-meter and one three-meter DuraFlex diving stands; furnishing and installing four new 16-foot DuraFlex diving boards; and removing two approximately 12,000-pound movable bulkheads, shipping them to Paddock Pool Equipment Company for factory refurbishment, and reinstalling them. The contract includes a stated cash allowance for coordinating the bulkhead refurbishment. Bulkhead removal may not begin before March 22, 2027, and final completion is required by August 1, 2027. Bids must use State Board of Accounts Form 96 (Revised 2026), include the required contractor financial statement, questionnaire, non-collusion affidavit, and employee drug-testing program documentation, and be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the total base bid. The successful bidder must hold the specified swimming pool construction certification; the awardee must also provide 100% performance and labor and material payment bonds. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required.
