The National Science Foundation’s Innovation in Two-Year College STEM Education program seeks proposals from accredited two-year colleges offering undergraduate STEM degree programs. Projects should center students, improve success in STEM foundational courses and academic pathways for majors and non-majors, and strengthen the institution’s ability to use student and faculty talent through disciplinary, multi-department, or college-wide innovation. The program offers two tracks: Focus on the Academic Experiences of Two-Year College Students and Leveraging Two-Year College Strengths and Innovation. Each track supports projects requesting up to $500,000 for up to three years. Institutions that have not received NSF funding during the past five years may be eligible for an additional $100,000, resulting in a maximum request of $600,000 over four years. Approximately 20 awards are expected, with estimated total program funding of $10,000,000. Baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral institutions and professional organizations may participate as subawardees or collaborators, but the two-year college must lead any collaborative proposal.
