Description
Western Municipal Water District is soliciting proposals from qualified electrical contractors to provide on-call, scheduled, and emergency electrical services supporting district water and wastewater facilities. The scope includes low-voltage electrical work under 600 volts; power distribution; motor control centers; variable frequency drives; panelboards, switchboards, disconnects, and circuit breakers; standby and emergency generators; uninterruptible power supply systems; wiring, cabling, lighting, troubleshooting, and motor and pump electrical connections. SCADA/PLC programming, medium-voltage distribution, and unrelated civil or structural work are excluded. The contractor must provide labor, materials, tools, and equipment; maintain 24/7/365 dispatch capability; arrive on site within 24 hours for emergency requests and within 72 hours for non-emergency requests; hold a California C-10 Electrical Contractor license; and have at least 10 years of industrial or utility electrical experience in water/wastewater work. Proposals are limited to 40 pages and must include firm qualifications, project-team information, work approach, cost proposal, three recent similar project references, the RFP signature sheet, and the required cost file. The anticipated contract structure is three base years with two single-year renewal options, with time-and-materials pricing and fixed hourly rates.
