Description
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government is soliciting bids for a single-prime, lump-sum renovation of the men's and women's locker rooms at the West Hickman water treatment plant. The work includes selective demolition and construction of new locker-room partitions, HDPE lockers, toilet compartments and accessories, casework, countertops, ceramic tile, epoxy flooring as an alternate, terrazzo flooring, painting, doors and frames, firestopping, plumbing fixtures and piping, HVAC modifications and exhaust systems, electrical power and lighting, and temporary facilities. The building will remain occupied during construction, requiring temporary partitions, maintained access and egress, and coordination to minimize disruption. Bidders must submit pricing through Ion Wave, complete the provided proposal and qualification materials, identify proposed subcontractors and suppliers, provide required MWDBE/veteran outreach documentation, submit evidence of insurability, and include bid security when the bid is $50,000 or more. The base bid includes allowances for firestopping and sanitary-piping core drilling; alternates cover epoxy flooring and temporary toilets. The contract provides for 150 days to substantial completion and an additional 30 days to final completion after notice to proceed.
