Description
Oakland Township is soliciting proposals under two bid packages. The materials package requests N-12 F2648.ST IB plastic pipe in multiple sizes and quantities, along with two 2-by-2-by-2 catch basins and grates. The township will supply the pipe, catch basins, and grates for the separate labor/stone package, which requests approximately 150 tons of 2B/#57 stone, 450 tons of 2A stone, 55 tons of R3 stone, transportation of township-supplied pipe from 165 Shearer Road to the work sites, and culvert replacement labor. The labor/stone work includes replacing existing steel culverts, installing plastic pipe and catch basins, transporting and placing aggregate, excavation and disposal of dirt and old pipe, compaction, traffic control, testing, cleanup, and related roadway restoration on Shearer and Whitmire Roads. Work must be completed by March 1, 2027. The materials proposal uses the municipality's MS-963 form; the labor/stone proposal uses MS-944 and its attachments. The materials bid requires a certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid, while performance and payment bonds for the labor/stone work are post-award requirements under the bid package.
