Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for luffing cylinder parts for the USCGC Stone. The procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), allowing the Contracting Officer (KO) to solicit from one source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 336611 - Ship Building and Repairing. This procurement is not set aside for small businesses. The scope of work involves replacing a leaking seal on the luffing cylinder. The vendor will provide the following parts to CGC Stone at Base Charleston: one (1) Actuating hydraulic cylinder assembly (PN: YMD-12188, NIIN: 2530-01-661-3100), two (2) Luff and jib cylinder pins (PN: MMD-5766), two (2) Lock plates (PN: MMD-5477), two (2) Hex Head Cap Screws, 3/4" nominal thread diameter, 10 threads per inch, 2.00" long, grade 5, carbon steel with zinc plating (HHCS, .75-10NC X 2.00" LG - GRADE 5 STL ZNC PLTD), and two (2) Hex Head Cap Screws, 3/4" nominal thread diameter, 10 threads per inch, 2.25" long, grade 5, carbon steel with zinc plating (HHCS, .75-10NC X 2.25" LG - GRADE 5 STL ZNC PLTD). The parts must be shipped as a complete order with standard commercial packaging to prevent damage during transit. The required delivery date (RDD) is December 4, 2026.
